KISS 'Double Platinum'

My Zune MP3 player gave me another fit yesterday. If I had known what a bitch those things would be, I would have never gotten one. Jesus Chrysler Dodge!

I was told through the computer that another update needed to be done… So I did as instructed. What a pain in the ass that was!

It needed the disc inserted… Blah, blah, blah… And when it was over and done, the silly thing deleted my Benjomatic tunes. Why?

So I dumped in yesterday’s musical selection along with today’s and the others in line. I synched up Gretchen II with the PC program and still no Benjomatic. It was like I never added it.

So later on Thanksgiving night, I got online and found out that I could listen to the music from the PC without the Zune. So I put that on shuffle and lo and behold… Benjomatic was the first tune. Amazingly, the 2 CD’s from Benjomatic were back on there!

How did this happen?

I’m telling you folks… Technology and I just don’t get along. I like technology and I want to get along with it… But it doesn’t like me for unknown reasons. It makes me want to pull out my already thinning hair!

Once the updates were loaded onto Gretchen II… I played around with her a bit. The best thing updated was the equalizer. Gretchen II has always had a little too much bass for my tastes and that’s no longer a problem.

I suppose I bitch too much about the seemingly “small” problems. But I actually enjoy having the Zune player. I guess I love her more than I hate her. Right now, I’ve got close to 900 songs on that joker and it still has over 24GB’s left to fill.

I don’t know what that means in terms of storage available, but I’m thinking there’s a lot of it.

I’m thinking about getting an adapter for my truck Roxy. I’m also thinking about getting a docking station for Gretchen II as well. And just yesterday, I was tooling around online and found a great deal on a Zune kit at Amazon.com.

It comes with a protective case, an extra long arm band, a kick stand, and a belt clip. So now Gretchen II and I can hit the road for some exercise with tune-age. It was marked down $22 and has a 5 star rating from those who have purchased it and left a review.

I’m pretty excited about it, but there’s a fear that I’ll get hit by a car or plowed into by someone riding a bicycle at that park. I just don’t understand how deaf people aren’t getting killed all the time.

Am I being irrational?

Perhaps I am, but don’t get me started on those roller-blade jokers… Them freaks are dangerous!

--And with today’s musical choice… I will probably damage my hearing a little bit while driving. Because folks… If you didn’t know it already… KISS makes for some excellent driving music and ‘Double Platinum’ is a good place to start for some road tunes. There’s nothing like driving fast with some 1970’s KISS blaring.
