Britney Spears 'Blackout'

Late Sunday morning, I had 45 minutes to sit back and chill out for a while. So I broke out Gretchen II and listened to some music in MP3 form. I have over 35 CD’s loaded on that thing, so I wasn’t hurting for anything to listen to. I thought about listening to Bruce Springsteen’s new one or even today’s musical choice from Britney Spears. But I decided to let Gretchen make me a 45 minute mix.

And damn if she didn’t do an excellent job!

Here’s what she came up with…

Fuel “Die Like This”
Blur “Pop Scene (live)”
Bittersweet “The Mating Game”
Robert Plant “Walking Towards Paradise”
The Darkness “Bareback”
Flipp “C*ck Rock”
Flipp “Schizo Boy”
Bruce Springsteen “Devil’s Arcade”
Robert Plant “She Said”
The Jimi Hendrix Experience “All Along The Watchtower (live)”

My time was up right at Noon and before turning Gretchen II off, I decided to see what else she had up her sleeve. It was a song from Earl Klugh and a complete buzz kill for the mix she had going. So the 45 mix was meant to be just that… An in the moment kind of thing.

I liked it so much, I’m going to burn it to a CD to listen to in Roxy.

Well… That’s all I have for today. Sorry that the update’s so short, but I’d rather not get into what I’m thinking right now. I’ve learned in life that it’s not good to write angry.
