Aerosmith ‘Pandora’s Box’ (Box Set)

I have nothing. My allergies are flaring up for some reason. I thought it might be a little bug from Preston and his bundle of bacteria. But I have settled on the side of allergies and I have exonerated Preston and his lack of hand washing.

There’s not much going on with me these days and I’m feeling a little melancholy. I took a friend of mine to the airport earlier and she’ll be gone for a month. That has me a little bummed out.

To me… It’s a little nuts. Other than her purse, she only took a backpack with her. She doesn’t even know where she’s going to stay when she gets there. She’s going to spend a whole lot of time on foot and riding the rails of Europe.

But yet there’s something about what she’s doing that impresses me. I sure as hell couldn’t do it. I tend to plan because I have a hard time going into something all willy-nilly with no preparation. I try not to be a creature of habit, but deep down I think that I am one of those creatures.

I change up my routes to work and back from time to time. I like the different things that challenge me at work. And I like blondes, brunettes, and red head of all shapes, sizes, and colors. I’ve always welcomed change.

But how and what she’s doing would leave me a nervous wreck. One part of me is envious that she can drop everything for a month and go on a “vision quest” in a strange land where folks kill for a soccer team and speak a different language. And another part of me respects and admires that too.

Bottom line… I could never do it.

I wish that I had held onto her just a little longer before she left.

Now to other things….

I think Netflix is throttling me once again. I also think they’re being sneaky about it too.

I sent a Battlestar Galactica DVD back on Saturday and they should have received it on Monday. But they received nothing… according to them.

I think they’re holding onto it for a day before they acknowledge that it’s been received. This has to be the third or fourth time this has happened to me.

Coincidence? I think not.

I think those bastards are throttling me in stealth mode.

I'd say your Netflix suspicions are right on the money - they also did the same thing to me this week. I returned 3 DVDs that should have arrived Monday, but they only acknowledged receiving two. They didn't list the 3rd received until today, when I know the bastards got it yesterday.

I've been surprisingly pleased with Blockbuster's service. I'm not watching a lot of "new releases", but I have usually had 2-day turnaround so far. And, I get one in-store coupon to use each week as well, which is good because I'm apparently addicted to "The L Word".
