Cheap Trick ‘Rockford’ (Day 5 in player)

If you didn’t know, the title of each blog is the music that I’m listening to for the day. And I haven’t stopped listening to the new Cheap Trick record. I just wish they’d get their asses down south close to me. I haven’t seen them in a few years.

Did you hear about the KISS Coffee Shop that was opened in Myrtle Beach last weekend?

Given the history of KISS’ stage shows and since coffee acts as a laxative… You’re gonna get explosive diarrhea at the KISS Coffee Shop.

How about the Carolina Hurricanes?

They are the Stanley Cup champions and this is the first time a major professional championship has been won on North Carolina soil. Unless you count the times that Ric Flair has won World Championships here, but professional wrestling isn’t exactly legit when it comes to championships.

I’ve been a Canes fan since they moved to Carolina. I’ve been to games when they played in Greensboro. I was among the few hundred and few thousand at the games. Not many in Greensboro went because it was either too expensive or the residents were pissed off about losing the ECHL Greensboro Monarchs.

It’s just kind of funny to me that within the last month I’ve seen a whole lot more in the way of Hurricanes fans. Normally, I would be upset about the displays from “fair weather” fans. But in this case, the NHL hasn’t really received a sell out response from North Carolinians and that’s okay. If it gets them on board for next season, I’m all for it.

I’m about to hit the online shop for the Carolina Hurricanes to snap up a new Championship T-shirt. I’m sure I’ll have one by the end of the week.

Over the weekend, I watched a DVD from Netflix called Don’t Say A Word starring Michael Douglas and Brittany Murphy.

It’s not really worth getting into because the only reason that I wanted to see this movie… Brittany Murphy. I think she is SO hot! But not even her good looks could save this stupid film.

Michael Douglas just came out a little too creepy for me. He’s talking to his screen daughter and he just sounded and looked creepy. When he’s talking to Murphy as a psychiatrist, again he comes across as creepy. Douglas just isn’t settling into his old age that well.

Did I mention that he’s getting creepy?

And I will close out with this… I’ve been eating a little healthier in the past week and it’s really affecting my digestive system. I think I now know what old folks mean by “morning constitutional”.
