Jem 'Finally Woken'

I’ve received rather distressing news about one of my favorite television shows over the past week. I can’t process the information that at this point. It may be nothing more than ugly rumors.

This is the last season for the UPN show ‘Star Trek: Enterprise’. At this point, there are five episodes left as the series winds down.

Last Friday’s episode was pretty bitchin’. It revisited the alternate evil universe first seen on the original series with Shatner. Every character on that first episode was a cutthroat mofo and was out for whatever they could gain by any means necessary.

It was also done on ‘Star Trek: Deep Space Nine’.

The show opened with the alternate evil crew of the Enterprise. The first officer, Archer took over command to retrieve a Starfleet ship from 100 years in the future. The ship looked like Kirk’s, but it was a vessel named Defiant.

I won’t bore you with details; I’ll simply tell you that it was great seeing Hoshi (Linda Park) with her sexy midriff exposed. Most guys get their jollies with T’Pol (Jolene Blalock). Not me, give me Hoshi any day, baby!

Hoshi’s alternate evil counterpart was the Captain’s tramp and she looked hot with her make-up set on whore mode. We got a lot of skin off Hoshi on that episode and for that, I am very grateful.

Last Friday’s episode was the first of a two parter. So, feel free to tune in this Friday at 8pm for part two.

To me, this series is the best of them all. But, a lot of Trekkies will tell that I’m full of Ferengi excrement. That’s okay; they can live in that universe if they want. I like the fresh air and the girls that makes up my universe.

A lot of Trekkies have a problem with the series not lining up with the Star Trek mythology. I received a slight lecture with my buddy Frank on that subject. I don’t care about the mythology; I only want a good show. He went on about Archer not being the original captain and some other things that went in one ear and out the other.

No offense, Frank.

I can’t get into the show that much. Hell, ‘Green Acres’ has all kinds of mythology problems, but I don’t care. It’s funny as all get out!

I just enjoy the show without purchasing all the crap that’s intended to clutter up some geek’s house. This geek prefers KISS collectables!

I don’t want to read the books. I don’t want to start a Star Trek website. I just want to enjoy the show without thinking about it too much.

Before I saw last Friday night’s episode, Rubin told gave me the 4-1-1 on the rumor.

He says that the series will end with the same style that ‘Newhart’ went with. Instead of it all being a dream, the series will actually be a holodeck program that entertains Troi and Riker from ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation’.

It will be like that ‘Dallas’ episode where Pamela dreamt about Bobby’s death. But, she woke up the next season and Bobby was all right. He was in the shower lathering up with Zest and full of smiles.

I don’t know how I feel about this rumor yet. One side tells me that it’s a cheap shot. The other side of me doesn’t care.

What’s wrong with me?
